The Phantom: D61 - “U-Town” - 27 Feb to 19 May 1956 (Coloured)

Almost after 5 years, TPH is back with wonderful gift for us - one more coloured classical strips by him.

Was waiting to collect it from his blog, and received with notes to share here.
Colouring of old strips is very time consuming hard work.
Words are certainly not enough to evaluate and appreciate his hard work.
😍Thanks a lot!

Complete Flash Gordon D-2 Daily Strips Collection (144 strips English + 8 missings in Spanish)

Had regrouped all previous D2 posts to make the quest easier.

---------------------------------------
Although Flash Gordon debuted as a Sunday page on January 7, 1934 with Alex Raymond's story and art, the Daily strips were started in 1940 only.
There were 11 stories in D-1 series (27 May 1940 - 3 June 1944) drawn by Austin Briggs (read Here).
After a break, the Daily returned on 19 Nov 1951 to give us 152 stories as D-2 series till 7 June 1993.
In D-2 series, Dan Barry and Harvey Kurtzman initially worked together. Later Dan Barry was assisted by these gentlemen: Al Williamson, Frank Frazetta, Fred Kida, Bob Fujitani and Harry Harrison.

Covers of Gowarsons Comics, Madhu Muskan Comics and Trishul Comics

Blog's 10th Anniversary Post: 1. (Novel) Sitaron se Aage, 2.(Trishul Comics #7) Hataya Robot and 3. (Scanlation) Taar - The Rebel --Very 1st time Taar speaks Eng...Hurrah!

🎇Never thought I'll stay here for 10 years.
🎇Never thought I'll give  shoulder in some rare stuffs in such quantity.
🎇But, I always wished to see completed. Where it was never important for me. But something happened here, later at indrajal-online.blogspot.com
🎇Again 3 rare series are flowing... some amazing projects are going on... and I wished to return in this mode in 2019-2020 only.

Came at net to collect some comics and books I love. Later to help persons who were missed such stuffs like me, I started blogging.
My motto was very simple: If not available, I'll do such way ...many shan't miss ...
In this journey met with many people (names are given in every post) ... lot of memories.
Thanks for your love and support! Our journey from "I" to"We" is the main driving force behind such longevity.
Life forced me to become passive from blogging for some years, Venkitachalam Subramanian was single handedly doing all job with selfless effort by Emile.

Another member "IUnKnown" is busy fulfilling his real world's responsibilities. But, the game is not over....

One more friend "Rajesh" has joined us. Amazing passion for comics. He is not only helping from front in out of print Hindi Indrajal Comics  at indrajal-online.blogspot.com , but you'll enjoy his stuffs here and other friends blog too. Some mind blowing projects you are going to read soon.

What is common between these 5 (in fact, many more)?
We are living in different continents at different places and never met - one and only point - Love for books and comics.
We love some certain classical series, characters and some out of print books and comics.
We are just trying to fill gaps ...free ...without any direct and indirect rewards ...
For me, all shared in this blog are out of print as where I live - as can't find in English or Hindi.

A peculiar comic- Sunny the Supersleuth - Defeats the Terrosists

For those among us who know only Dhoni and gang and probably heard of Tendulkar (god of cricket), there was a cricketer, who reigned the World of Test Cricket from the early seventies to the early eighties. He came to the cricket scene with a bang in 1971, scoring 774 runs in 5 Tests (didn't bat in one innings to add to the greatness) against the mighty West Indies, which included 2 double centuries against the likes of Wesley Hall, Charles Griffith, Gary Sobers et al.

#689 - Phantom Daily strip 195 set in color by "Perth"

Here is yet another colorful creation by the same Phan whose colorful creation was shared by me in my last post. Only this time he is using a new nick name - PERTH.

The story is D195 - Terror At The Opera. Many of us may be having the Black and white version, but not everyone has the colored version. He has even put forth a kind of a colorful cover for the book-style presentation of the story.

So download the comic from his original link here, and shower your thanks to PERTH.

This might be my last post in a while, as I start my journey this Thursday.

Enjoy

#688 - The latest Phantom Sunday story - The Ghost story, KALL's colored Frew Comic and a discussion of Dynamite's first Mandrake comic book.

Emile just sent me the latest Phantom Sunday story that ran for 25 weeks from June 01, 2014 through November 23, 2014. Here is the first panel :

Download the story from Emile's original link and shower your thanks on Emile.

While on the subject of the Phantom, I bring to you a colored Frew comic by one of our regular Phans who goes by the nickname KALL. When I first posted that in this blog, quite a few blogs including this one were hit by an expired widget, which would prevent others from viewing the blog unless they had a very secure version of the browsers they were using. Since this was something that requires a lot of hard work and patience (ask TPH), I thought it was worth a repost.

So download Frew #1376 from Kall's original link and offer your thanks to Kall.

Before I take leave of you all, here is a post about the new Mandrake comic soon to be brought out by Dynamite Comics. Take a look at the following:

This might be my last post for a while, as I will be away for a month. I will be back during the end of January.

Enjoy

एस्ट्रिक्स ओलम्पिक में (First Hindi Asterix: Estriks Olampik me )

(English title: Asterix at the Olympic Games)  -१९८२

Devils and Wonder Glasses 3D + Gold Key Flash Gordon #25

Today with this post Books and Comics reaches another milestone of 300 posts.
I am posting very special comic for the occassion, First 3D comics published in India.
It was published my Star Comics in 1980s. It started a new trend of 3D comics, but it did not last long. Mainly I feel due to bad stories, cost and also due to fake 3D comics in market.
