Prabhat,
ReplyDeleteOne thing I should say,when u post some new,unseen strips,u do in a special style...hats off for that!! :-)
Now,for Tarzan,I WILL OF COURSE D/L "all 15" only because these are b/w original strip AS in my childhood,it wasn't Phantom/Mandrake but Trazan who was my first Wesrern hero, whose strips i used to read, quite religiously, from some local newspaper.....Later I became hooked in IJC-Universe and all ,but First love always remains special for all and so for me!! :F
Another thing, while I'm so fond of b/w strips,I am not much in Tarzan's book-format,allthough have some in collection!!
Me the second to post- waiting for all tarzans!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this gem, Prabhat Bhai. I love those old style comic strips, especially the ones which featured these classical characters, which weren't given their due credit in the comics form. I guess Tarzan was more suited for the daily strip than the later.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the creator of this series which you have uploaded was Bob Lubbers, who worked on Tarzan strips for a brief time in 1950's, based on Edgar Rice Burrough's character and storyline.
Here is some more information about Bob Lubbers and a complete list of all artists and creators for Tarzan Strips.
Hi,
ReplyDeletethank you for your sharing as usual.
I have to add that these (the first link, do not know for the others) strips are 600 pixels wide…
They exists as 1,000 pixels wide, free, online there:
http://comics.com/tarzan_classics/
All strips available since 2000-01-01… [sundays included…]
At last, one story is missing (from UFS web site too); its French name is La déesse blonde (Blond Goddess ?).
Cheers,
Emile
Hi all,
ReplyDeletefor Tarzan fans, go there:
http://comicsworld.wordpress.com/category/tarzan/
and you will get much, much more (DC, Marvel, Dell, complete Russ Manning Dailies, etc.)
@MaNdrAke dudE: Bala ji, I read first Tarzan comics very late, only after all favorite comics. However In childhood I didn’t like strips because of stretched printing. Only in 2007, I understood importance of these when find a lot of phantom stories printed as Indrajal Comics were heavily edited. Now love B/W more than colour and strips more than comics.
ReplyDelete@Krishna ji: Lot of Tarzan comics are posted at http://comicsworld.wordpress.com/category/tarzan/ with Rapidshare links. These links contains many comics so size are big. However many are missing their. Soon I'll post with mediafire links (single - not multiple) and many missing too.
ReplyDelete@Rafiq Raja: Thanks for information. I've Trazan Sunday Strips by 4 authors. Uploaded already, soon post those too.
ReplyDelete@Emile: Thanks for information. I registered at that site, but unable to find download links in better resolution. Can you guide.
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous: I know about this AMAZING site, however many Tarzan comics are missing. Keep visiting soon you’ll get more which are not available their. :)
ReplyDeletePrabhat
ReplyDeleteTks for the Tarzan links. Its amazing! I have never seen to many though I have many with me thanks to Ajanabbi. I have not seen so many Dell Tarzan comics!

Another fantastic post Prabhat - Thanks to Emily too....
ReplyDeleteTarzan was an acquired taste but now I really like it....
I do not of you guys - I was unable to download 16, 18 & 24
But my hands are full of comics to last me easily over the weekend. Thanks again.
By the way, Rafiq sorry to hear about the Hard disk crash...hope you are able to recover all your important files. I had once such incident and I was able to extract most but many had some errors and it was a pain to rebuild it back.
@Old Man Mozz: Replaced the required links. Same about feeling about Tarzan.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky in both times hard disk crash , was able to get back almost all files.
Some of the Bob Lubbers strips were published in high quality comic book form in full color by the same European comic publisher who published this Russ Manning Strip (Deadly Ambush) posted by CW a few months ago:
ReplyDeletehttp://comic-guy.blogspot.com/2009/10/tarzan-with-heere-ka-chirag.html
I actually owned "Insect Men", "Skull Clan" & "Terror of Kraka" released as comic book by this publisher in the 70's, along with some Manning stories as well, all in full color. I believe CW has acquired a good collection of these issues. I hope to see these scanned by him some day.
OM Mozz, Emily is a girl's name whereas Emile is male :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks to Emile who painstakingly downloaded these strips panel by panel from the comic.com site! I was doing the same thing when Prabhat told me that I need not do this as Emile has already taken the pain of downloading all the strips.
Tarzan Sundays by Russ Manning can be downloaded here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.erbzine.com/mag26/2600.html
Dailies are there too, but they are smaller in size compared to those scanned and posted online by Marsupilami a few years ago.
@MaNdrAke dudE: Sorry Sagnik, I said you Bala. :)
ReplyDelete@Colonel Worobu: Words are not enough to thank Emile, it's sure.

Yep, I have "Young Tarzan", but not sure of "Single Series 020".
ReplyDeleteI also have the dark horse Russ Manning story "Tarzan the untamed". Dark Horse is reprinting old classic Gold Key comics and DC comics as TPBs and graphic novels.
Many thanks Prabhat and all others who have shared these wonderful links,
ReplyDeleteIt was like finding a treasure. I had scanned a partial Tarzan Comics(Kiran I Think) ages ago, I am uploading it. Even though it is partial story is complete. Enjoy.
http://www.mediafire.com/?ykmxzw45hdz
I had scanned another one at that time. If I find it in my discs I'll upload it too.
IUnknown:
ReplyDeleteThank you for the scan. Even though it is partial, it is a complete story.
Hi guys,
ReplyDeleteThanks Col. Worobu for pointing out my mistake. Sorry Emile ....
Thanks for the amazing links and information on Tarzan.
Hi Prabhat,
ReplyDeleteSorry to be a whiner but I still am unable to download #16, #18 & #24
@IUnknown: Thanks! It's a Kiran's Tarzan & complete story.
ReplyDelete@Old Man Mozz: It's strange, but don't worry again fixed with new links. Just extract CBZ file from RAR. In case of trouble, I use this trick- until today always worked. :))
ReplyDeleteNext post is on your demand - Garth.
Thanks to Emile, for these 30 wonderful collections. Looking forward for more Tarzan goodies....
ReplyDeleteThanks to Prabhat for organising the post so well.
