Thanks, but this is actually the 3rd volume of Ardden Entertainment's ongoing Flash Gordon reboot. The characters and settings are somewhat different than the traditional newspaper strips and "Invasion of The Red Sword" is not a good jumping on point for readers who haven't read the previous volumes:
Flash Gordon - The Secret History of Mongo (scans available online) Flash Gordon - The Mercy Wars (not yet scanned I think)
A slight correction and additional info for what I wrote before, Ardden's "Flash Gordon - The Mercy Wars" consists of a 6-issue adaptation of a live-action TV series plus a rare "0" issue, all published in 2008-09 and can be found on FilesTube and elsewhere in cbr (rar) and cbz (zip) formats (you can open them with free image archive browser CDisplay or just extract the individual image files using WinRAR). This first volume has also been collected in a 160-page trade paperback (available for purchase on Amazon, eBay, Comixology, MyComicShop etc). The publisher went into a temporary hiatus after the cancellation of the TV show.
The second volume is "Flash Gordon - The Secret History of Mongo" published in 2010 which has not been scanned yet (not that I know of). This is an 80-page softcover but I don't know if it was originally published as individual issues. The story is set in the same universe as and is a continuation of the short-lived TV show. This collection is available for purchase on Amazon, eBay, Comixology, MyComicShop etc.
