Flash Gordon - S116 - "Robot War" (5/9/71 to 7/18/71)

Summary: Approaching Earth after their ordeal in space Flash, Dale, Zarkov and Kara pick up a distress signal in sub-space and steer their ship towards the area where the space wreck is floating.
Managing to salvage a number of survival pods from the wreck whilst repelling a robot attack, the quartet is told of a war-torn planet where robots rule and where the original inhabitants have taken refuge in a "Third World" beneath the surface...

Summary: Staying at a resort hotel in the Himalayas, a concerned Flash and Dale start making enquiries when their friend and adventurer Bill Penrose fails to turn up for a pre-climb meeting and are told that he has foolishly gone on a lone climb in search of the abominable snowman.
Following in his tracks, Flash and Dale soon find his abandoned equipment on a ledge, but are immediately surrounded by a bunch of snowmen and taken to a most unexpected location...

Summary: Setting off for Earth in their hyper-advanced Venusian ship (see S-044 Venus), Flash, Dale and Zarkov suddenly realise that they are running out of fuel and decide to steer their craft towards the Moon’s gravity in order to arrest their freefall.
Making a rough landing near a new space station at the back of the Moon, the trio are rescued by its inhabitants, but relief soon gives way to despair as their ship suddenly disappears from the Lunar surface and Flash becomes the victim of a brutal murder attempt...
