#278. March of Comics 342 - Tarzan

Due to some personal reasons I was not posting Indrajal since August 2009. From today, going to restart 2nd round.

All persons who are interested to get HQ and NEW scans in English and Hindi are invited at Mega IJC blog. Planning to post atleast 1 IJC per week (English or Hindi), who knows may be back to my old style – multiple posts or per day posting. I’m too old to change my habits. :)

IJC had played very important role to make this blog popular. Some incidents forced me to create another blog for IJC.

Strongly believe in summary of BHAGAVAD GITA:

Whatever happened, happened for the good; whatever is happening, is happening for the good; whatever will happen, will also happen for the good only.

(जो हुआ, वो अच्छे के लिए हुआ, जो हो रहा है, वह अच्छा हो रहा है, जो होगा, वह भी अच्छा ही होगा।)

Soon, I can find out exact numbers of Indrajal posted by me. Once tried to count and dropped in mid way. :)

Going to shift all IJC to my IJC blog – to make one blog for my IJC posts. It'll be helpful for those friends who came in late. Mostly IJC (approx 400) posted by me were complete. Let see what we can do in 2nd round.

Today's post: IJC #3 - Absolutely new scans (cover to cover)

Hoping you’ll like and enjoy as earlier.

From tomorrow Vidyarthi Mithram's Tarzan comics are coming in this blog.

  1. Hi Prabhat,

    First again....
Thanks for the comic and looking forward to the Vidyarthi Mithram's Tarzan comics. I had heard from CW's blog that they had published Phantom & Mandrake also.

That would be a real find if someone could contribute those.

  2. By the way, I also agree with Rafeeq Raja"s comment about restoring the tweet on who is a regular commentator. Will whip up some healthy competition amongst your blog fans.....

  4. Count me on the expecting list. Looking forward for the VM Tarzans, and if Mandrake & Phantom can be found alongwith, I would be the happiest person, to say the least :)

  5. @Old Man Mozz: I came to know about VMC last year only, never saw a physically copy. Hoping someday we'll have VMC's Phantom and Mandrake too.

I'll put back TOP COMMENTATOR widget. Earlier removed this one (and many other widgets) to improve loading speed.

  8. I'm having trouble posting (intermittant net connex)--hope this goes thru. I am a big ERB-Tarzan fan. Love the character, love what Philip J. Farmer did with it, and somehow Burroughs and the Burroughs estate have always chosen the best illustrators around. Frazetta is everyone's fave, but Manning does it for me. He seems to understand what ERB was doing better than most.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Emile S. worked on compiling some of the dailies here. THANK YOU, Emile! You've done wonderful things for the community and this is just part of the many projects you've worked on. My thanks, I say, my thanks!

In re: the "March of Comics" posted here--does anyone know what country it was printed in? Is this material from Manning's British weekly? I've never seen it in the USA, but maybe I just missed it! It's quite delightful, whatever the case!!!

  9. @=link: Thanks to Emile we have not only many dailies, but all available are coming soon. An amazing dedicated person he is. Helping with my some other favorite heroes which I missed to collect.

If through Russ Manning's Sundays Tarzan was introduced in India, may be he was most popular, if not at least not less than the Phantom & Mandrake. After reading these strips I'm going to read again all Tarzan by every artist. He was on of my favorites, now ....
