Many of us remember Timpa - a teenager detective, created by J.P.Karewala & illustrated by Abhijit Chatterji. Indrajal Comics published his adventure as side story with regular heroes in 1988-89.

I loved the Grampa in the stories, which used to appear in the Indrajal Comics.

ReplyDeleteTimpa was a revelation. I enjoyed every bit. This series is a lot like Tintin, with an Indian flavor. Grandpa is a combination of Capt. Haddock and Calculus.

ReplyDeleteThanks for giving this wonderful opportunity to enjoy 3 full blown adventures of Timpa, Prabhat and Ajnaabi. Have slight recollection of seeing some short adventures of him in IJC, but never knew they were printed in complete editions, and that too with Comics Code Authority attestation.

ReplyDeleteOh I had a bunch of Timpa comics growing up and I absolutely loved Legacy Of The Gods, especially the scenes at Eden Gardens. Such great memories of summer holidays and cool Doordarshan shows and cricket
