As the Megaspace Corporation ship nears Earth, Flash suddenly receives a vision from an old acquaintance urging him to reconnect with his special powers (see D2-118 Mind trip and D2-119 Skorpi in Atlantis) and join him on an urgent probe in a place and time long forgotten...

Blackmailing governments with his business decisions on board his Megaspace Corporation satellite, Greaser then inexplicably unleashes disaster by detonating a massive electric magnetic pulse in space that irrevocably knocks out every magnetic and transistorized device on Earth..

Summary: Invited to a peace pageant on Mongo to celebrate freedom from Ming's tyranny, Flash is reunited with Prince Alan, Prince Barin’s son and Ming’s grandson, who has returned from the Academy a hot-headed youth with a point to prove to his concerned father.

As Alan is punished for repeated transgressions, he turns against Arboria and joins forces with Ming as governor of one of the latter’s provinces. With the Free Alliance crumbling at the news of this power shift, Flash makes a bold decision to find Alan deep in Ming’s territory...
